Yoga classes with Joan are wonderful! Joan has a way of teaching yoga that both invigorates and relaxes me, an amazing combination! I think the reason I like Joan's class the most was because I feel nurtured and supported as a whole person. Love the variation of music and how she can tell us what is happening in our bodies with many of the poses ( e.g.: "this will squeeze out toxins and when you relax, the area will be flooded with fresh fluid.")

 

After our session, I felt truly relaxed throughout my body and especially experience relief in my problem areas in my neck, shoulders & upper back. I noticed over time that I became much more flexible, both in and out of class. I think the physical rewards are greatest when the class is geared to the challenging side of "gentle" practice. Joan specializes in a type of yoga that is very individualized,so it is great for all people with various skill levels and rest assured that you will be able to get a lot out of her classes even if you have some health issues because Joan will show you how to modify the poses.
